Ballpark cabinetry costs

We are often asked "How much will one of your kitchens cost?"
That's a very tricky question to answer. It very much depends on how the kitchen is designed and which style you are after.

1. Eco off the peg German handleless kitchens are by far our most economical.
This range is very competitive against all of the large DIY stores and shed chains, yet offers far superior German engineering of drawers, cabinetry, wirework and inserts.

2. UK produced bespoke fingerprint resistant supermatte or gloss handleless kitchens are mid priced cabinetry.

3. UK produced bespoke fingerprint resistant supermatte or gloss handleless kitchens with further bespoke options.
Options for additional grain matched wood (any species).
Option to have wooden handleless rails instead of metal.
Option to have ceramic or any coloured metal rails including bespoke metallic rails.
Option for finger jointed oak drawers.
Pocket doors (Doors that slide and hide back into cabinet)
Mid to high priced depending on detail selected.

4. Bespoke finger jointed solid oak grain matched drawers are the most time consuming to produce and by far the most expensive.
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
If you have seen it or can describe it, we can make it.

Below.
A typical sized kitchen extension / refurbishment.
Depending on materials used you will see a considerable fluctuation in cost.

This size example could be made with our NON bespoke, off the peg, ECO German cabinetry.
Limited in standard sizes (although the choice in sizes are fairly comprehensive, you just don't get the finer detailing of bespoke cabinetry sizing).
White carcase only.
Matte or gloss doors, choice of 6 colours
Metal handleless rails
6 Week production (+4 weeks over summer European shut down)
Cabinetry from £8k

Our UK produced bespoke supermatte fingerprint resistant door range

The actual finished example below had supermatte doors for the tall bank and the reverse of island.
Full height bespoke doors (German makes tend to have a split at worktop level)

Bespoke grain matched and book matched oversized character  heart  oak veneer 3.2m
Even the plinth was book matched!!!

We followed the grain around to the side panels as well.

We swapped out the handleless rail for the matching 12mm ceramic worktop material.
2 stacks of internal pull out pan drawers within the larders.
Integrated pull out bin
internal drawers within the pan drawers.
Knife blocks, plate pegs, cutlery trays, utensil drawer and lift out boxes all in oak.

A kitchen can be designed in many different ways.

The way in which we design your kitchen is governed by your requirements as our client.

Design
Practicality and usability
Budget

The cabinetry example below can be produced for as little as £10k all the way up to £25k+ depending on configuration and door choice.

Depending on what door finish you require, there are typically 7 different price bands from the most economical trade laminate all the way to a real grain matched wood veneer, concrete or ceramic.

The cabinetry costs will alter depending on the detail of the design.
The amount of drawers and internal hidden drawers.
Regular side opening wall cabinets or the motorised lift up and over variety.
Pull out larders or larders with internal drawers. Metal drawers or oak / walnut dove tail / finger-jointed bespoke drawers.
Integrated bins.
Choice of door finish.
Push open drawers.
Adding glass sides to the drawers.
Bespoke coloured handleless rail or bespoke solid oak / walnut integrated rail.
Integrating LED lights into the wall cabinets and worktop

Other examples of our more unique bespoke style of kitchens.

Far more time consuming to make than our regular handleless kitchens with integrated rails.
Typical production time need to produce an island like this is around 10-12 weeks.
Framed NON grain matched eco version with
scandi subtle white wash
 Below.
This version is a beautifully simple eco option of our classic cabinetry.
We use crown oak (the outer sections of the oak tree) which tends to have a straighter, less characterful grain.
Drawers are thinner at 16mm (as apposed to our original heartoak design where drawers are 25-30mm thick) which are not available to be grain matched.
We tend to lacquer the doors with a slight white scandi wash to even out the variance of colour.
A double sided island up to 3m wide with matching or contrasting coloured plinth will cost from £16k.
The addition of a bespoke frame with 4 legs will add around £5k
Steel legs x 12 (to support each gable and middle) will only add £100, but wont look as floating as the picture below.
A plinth running to the sides will cost no extra.
A similar designed kitchen with the sink run in the finger jointed style and tall oven and fridge housing in supermatte, will cost £30k for cabinetry and £35k with bespoke frame.
If the sink run and appliance housings were produced in the supermatte eco version, then a kitchen of this size would be from £22k, £27k with the island frame.
Picture
Below - A double sided Island up to 3m x 1.2m will cost in the region of £25k excluding worktop and appliances.

A similar style but NON GRAIN MATCHED with thinner 16mm drawers (not 25mm as below) could be made from £16k
Picture
Below - A similar sized double sided island with bespoke raised steel supported plinth 3m x 1800mm will cost approximately £28k
Similar island but with the black plinth running to the end of the cabinets (not cantilevered like picture below) £23k

Similar design but with a vertical frame in-between the drawers NON GRAIN MATCHED and using the thinner 16mm drawers from £16k

Similar layout of bespoke black supermatte larders, appliance housing and pan drawers, £12-£16k depending on internal configuration of drawers and wirework.
Off the peg German style from £6k
Picture
Below - Combination of styles.
Grain matched finger jointed with hidden vertical gables (this emphasises the grain matched pattern of the oak without a vertical gable breaking the grain) slatted oak and supermatte oven housing.
Cabinetry from £35k
Same design but using our non grain matched eco framed finger jointed drawers £25k

All in supermatte (no oak) from £11k

Picture
Below - This example is a non grain matched version with a slight white Scandi wash.
Typical cost will be from £2.5k per set of drawers. Each drawer can be from 300mm to 1000mm.
So depending how the kitchen is designed the price can dramatically increase.
The example below has 8 x 600mm cabinets and would cost from around £20k.
The same length could be designed with wider cabinets and come out closer to £15k (although it would not look as symmetric and uniform)
Picture
Below
Non grain matched finger jointed oak (clear lacquer) using the thinner 16mm drawers.
From £22.5k for a similar size in oak.
£7k for the supermatte white cabinets

Below - A similar sized double sided island with bespoke raised steel frame 4.5m x 1300mm will cost approximately £35k excluding worktop, frame and appliances.

Grain matched oak one side with the more cost effective contemporary supermatte handleless on the reverse of island will cost from £25k excluding worktop, frame and appliances.

This style is not available using the thinner 16mm drawers as the drawer thickness is not wide enough to hide the vertical gable.
A similar size with the vertical gables exposed or lacquered in black and non grain matched would cost around £22k for both sides.
From 18k if using the more economical supermatte on the reverse.

Below.
One of our most popular combinations of cabinets.
Feature finger jointed island with the bespoke hidden vertical gables one side, with integrated oak veneered side panels. The matching supermatte handleless door range on the reverse of the island with the solid oak recessed handle detail within the cabinet.
Typical cost for an island cabinetry 3m x 1.2m is from £25k.
The rest of the bespoke supermatte kitchen from with solid oak handleless rails £12k for this configuration.
Excludes installation, worktops and appliances.

Below - A similar sized 4.5m grain matched and book matched oak drawer cabinets with oak dove tail drawer boxes, would cost from £15k excluding worktop and appliances.
A similar sized laminate version NON GRAIN MATCHED with standard metal drawers would cost closer to £6k
Picture
Below - A similar sized island 3m x 1.2m with mixed slatted oak would cost from £20k excluding worktop and appliances.
To have the slatts grain matched would add around £5k.
A similar sized 5m run with a mixture of fingerjointed drawers and slatted oak tall cabinets would cost from £25k excluding worktop and appliances.
Picture
Below - A similar sized island 4.5m Douglas Fir grain matched kitchen would cost from £25k excluding worktop and appliances.
The 3 x tall supermatte cabinets will cost from £5k.
